おはようございます。
今朝の桜江は霧が出ていて、とてもきれいでした
今年の桜の開花予想がでているようです。
島根県は開花予想が3月31日、満開予想が4月7日、
見頃は4月6日から4月12日の予想です
県内のお花見スポットでは4月上旬からがオススメのようです。
毎年出される桜の開花予想ですが、どうやって予想を出しているのかと
不思議なので、調べてみました。
グーグル先生によると桜の開花予想を出すために、標本木と呼ばれる桜の木のつぼみを
毎日観察し、過去のデータと照らし合わせて何日頃開花と予想されるそうです。
なんだかとっても地道な作業なのね・・と驚きました。
そんな地道な作業があって、私たちのお花見ライフが
支えられているのねと妙に納得しました。
重力波が観測されようと、ロケットが打ち上げられようと、
頼れるものは人力だと再確認しました。
